Debate on Haryana Minister Anil Vij’s Statement on Mahatma Gandhi
Do you support Haryana Minister Anil Vij’s following statement?
“Khadi Sales declined as Gandhi Ji’s name was attached to it. Even, Gandhi’s name led to devaluation of currency notes. Modi is a better brand than Gandhi. Gandhi would be removed from currency notes too”.

Jagannath Mahapatra: I support Vij on removal of Gandhiji’s photo from the Calendar, but not from Notes. Swami Vivekananda or APJ Abdul Kalam’s Photo should be there in notes, they are our identity, they are the messenger of peace.
Umasankar Sahu: His position and his speech do not seem decent in this case…We can ask for the photos of our other ancestors’ faces of our Indian History to be placed over currency notes.. but the way he is saying is very indecent..Plz don’t speak like this Mr Vij…

However don’t all of us agree that opposition got a very big issue of demonetisation to counter Modi, but failed miserably. I don’t know if this issue is that big though I’m dead against using Modi’s picture in place of Bapuji. It should be changed. PS: There are few hostels of govt schools in UP I think which are named after Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi!
